Nima Shahsavari
Nima Shahsavari has pursued writing since the age of 15 as a means to question structures of power and explore the concepts of freedom. His works, ranging from poetry to analytical essays, are grounded in the philosophy of "Janism" (the intrinsic value of all living beings) and the equality of all sentient entities. Believing in universal access to knowledge, he distributes his writings freely, bypassing commercial cycles. By replacing paper with digital publishing, Shahsavari strives to ensure his words echo as a pulse for redefining life without harming nature.
In the name of the sole freedom of all living beings
I deemed it my duty to ensure such an inscription appeared at the dawn of this treatise. Nima Shahsavari rose to write, inviting minds to liberation. I considered it a dishonor to commercialize my struggle through this path or stain this pure endeavor with material wealth.
With the aid of modern technology, one need not follow the path of the ancients and consume paper for publication. I have never published my writings upon paper—the life of a tree. If you consider yourself an advocate of freedom, you will not commit slaughter against nature.
Hoping for the freedom and liberation of all living beings

Equality, Freedom, Critique of Power
Open-Access Digital Heritage
The philosophical architecture of The Asylum begins with a radical diagnosis of modern tyranny: the realization that advanced systems of control no longer rely solely on physical violence, but on the systematic chemical and psychological sedation of the populace. Nima Shahsavari introduces the archetype of Teslapam to illustrate how ruling authorities paralyze critical thought and memory, reducing autonomous individuals to compliant subjects who willingly consecrate their own subjugation under the banner of security.
At the core of this dystopia lies the relentless suppression of Mstin—the pursuit of true awareness. Within this closed ecosystem, power is maintained through the fabrication of external chaos and the deployment of manufactured enemies, coercing the collective mind into accepting internal walls and ideological cages. The text deconstructs how sacred myths and revolutionary legacies are co-opted by corrupt successors to mask human trafficking and systemic exploitation, transforming the sanctuary of the state into a vast commercial enterprise of captivity.
Framed by the uncompromising principles of Janism (جانگرایی), the narrative points toward self-emancipation as the ultimate form of resistance. Awakening requires the rejection of daily narcotics, whether pharmaceutical or mediated. By recovering memory and imagination, the individual breaks the invisible barriers of the mind, proving that no fortress or state apparatus can permanently cage the sovereign breath of a conscious soul.
In The Asylum, Nima Shahsavari constructs a brilliant and unsparing critique of totalitarian governance, focusing on how modern power secures its survival not through the lash, but through the pharmaceutical and psychological numbing of the human mind. The novel presents a chilling vision of a society where consciousness is criminalized, and passive obedience is celebrated as civic virtue. Through rigorous philosophical prose, the work explores the transition from raw physical coercion to the sophisticated management of perception.
Grounded entirely in the tenets of Janism, the text exposes the deep ontological violence inherent in systems that treat living beings as manageable resources. It challenges readers to examine how institutions manufacture compliance by dulling the nervous system of society, replacing authentic vitality with engineered fear and standardized illusions of safety.
The central metaphor of control in the narrative is encapsulated by Teslapam—representing the totality of tools, media narratives, and imposed dogmas that keep populations in a state of suspended animation. The ruling elite recognizes that true stability depends on the systematic destruction of historical memory and critical reflection.
Through this meticulous analysis, Shahsavari reveals how tyranny co-opts the language of liberation to reinforce systems of exploitation, leaving the individual stranded in an institutionalized dream state.
Amidst the pervasive atmosphere of psychological decay, the protagonist’s journey in The Asylum charts the arduous path toward self-reclamation. True resistance begins not with violent insurrection, but with a quiet, uncompromising refusal to ingest the prescribed narcotics of the state. By seeking out the hidden fractures of the system and establishing secret links with the outside world, the individual begins to piece together a fragmented history.
This process of awakening demonstrates that the most formidable prisons are those constructed within the human imagination. When memory is restored and the conditioned reflexes of obedience are broken, the physical walls of the asylum lose their coercive power. The demand for air and freedom becomes an elemental force that no amount of sedation can permanently suppress.
In strict alignment with the philosophy of Janism, the dissemination of The Asylum mirrors its thematic rejection of harm. By choosing an open-access, digital distribution model, the author refuses to participate in the environmental destruction and commercial plunder of the natural world for the sake of material printing. Knowledge, much like breath, must remain free, natural, and untainted by exploitation.
Ultimately, The Asylum stands as a monumental manifesto for freedom. It calls upon independent thinkers, philosophers, and seekers of truth to break free from the daily trances of modern culture, reject the role of the compliant subject, and dedicate themselves to building a world where no living creature is ever imprisoned in the name of security.
