Nima Shahsavari
Nima Shahsavari has pursued writing since the age of 15 as a means to question structures of power and explore the concepts of freedom. His works, ranging from poetry to analytical essays, are grounded in the philosophy of "Janism" (the intrinsic value of all living beings) and the equality of all sentient entities. Believing in universal access to knowledge, he distributes his writings freely, bypassing commercial cycles. By replacing paper with digital publishing, Shahsavari strives to ensure his words echo as a pulse for redefining life without harming nature.
In the name of the sole freedom of all living beings
I deemed it my duty to ensure such an inscription appeared at the dawn of this treatise. Nima Shahsavari rose to write, inviting minds to liberation. I considered it a dishonor to commercialize my struggle through this path or stain this pure endeavor with material wealth.
With the aid of modern technology, one need not follow the path of the ancients and consume paper for publication. I have never published my writings upon paper—the life of a tree. If you consider yourself an advocate of freedom, you will not commit slaughter against nature.
Hoping for the freedom and liberation of all living beings

To enter the world of Jan is to confront the deepest illusion of human civilization: the myth of the supreme creature. Nima Shahsavari strips away the sacred masks that humanity has historically donned to justify the exploitation, containment, and slaughter of fellow living beings. This work serves as an uncompromising philosophical tribunal, judging a world built upon the blood of the innocent and the institutionalization of cruelty.
At the core of this manifesto lies the uncompromising framework of Janism (جانگرایی), which posits that consciousness is the singular, indivisible currency of the cosmos. Shahsavari exposes how instrumental reason has weaponized language to turn sentient life into mere commodities. Against this backdrop, ethical plant-based living is elevated from a simple dietary preference into the primary political and spiritual act of resistance against global violence.
The text challenges the reader with a sobering axiom: as long as slaughterhouses remain operational, the architecture of war will never crumble. By deconstructing the altars of blood and the romanticization of suffering, Jan calls for a radical realignment of human awareness, urging us to abandon species divisions and embrace an unconditional ethic of non-harm and universal empathy.
The history of human civilization has long been written through the lens of unbridled dominion. In Jan, Nima Shahsavari undertakes a radical deconstruction of this narrative, taking direct aim at the theology of power and the artificial title of the supreme creature. For millennia, human societies have relied on constructed hierarchies to legitimize the exploitation of the natural world, turning sentient existence into a resource for consumption and convenience. Shahsavari argues that these titles are nothing more than theological and rationalized fabrications designed to soothe the collective conscience while perpetuating systemic violence.
The philosophical weight of the work rests upon the concept of Jan—the vital, irreducible essence that flows through all living entities. By placing Jan at the center of moral consideration, the text invalidates any hierarchy that attempts to measure the value of suffering based on species or utility. The pain of any single living being is shown to be an echo of the suffering of all existence, exposing the profound delusion inherent in anthropocentric worldviews.
A central pillar of the manifesto is the redefinition of green-eating and moral plant-based living. Far from being reduced to a mere dietary preference or a health regimen, ethical eating is presented as an essential political and philosophical orientation. Shahsavari asserts that the pleasure of the palate must never be allowed to supersede the sanctity of life. The consumption of flesh is analyzed as a spiritual corrosion that degrades human consciousness.
In this framework, the slaughterhouse is not an isolated facility, but the physical cornerstone of a violent global order. Shahsavari establishes a direct, unbreakable link between the daily slaughter of animals and the outbreak of human wars. A society that normalizes the mass execution of the vulnerable will inevitably turn those exact mechanisms of violence against its own kind. True global peace is thus exposed as an absolute illusion as long as the gates of the slaughterhouses remain open.
Moving deeper into the cultural and religious mechanisms of domination, Jan critiques traditions that sanctify bloodshed as a means of divine or political alignment. The imagery of the blood altar is dismantled as a symptom of a civilization trapped in madness. Any law or belief system that permits the infliction of pain for the sake of survival, convenience, or pleasure is fundamentally flawed.
Shahsavari formulates the law of freedom entirely through the absolute negation of harm. True worship and true spiritual awakening do not reside in rituals of sacrifice or dominance, but in the active protection of life. The text challenges the reader to look past cultural conditioning and recognize that the cycle of suffering can only be broken when humanity assumes the mantle of protector rather than executioner.
In its striking final movements, the work employs a powerful narrative crescendo to dissolve the boundaries between the victim and the consumer. By erasing the psychological distance between the sacrificed and the beloved, Shahsavari reveals a harrowing metaphysical truth: whoever destroys another life is ultimately consuming their own soul. This warning extends outward to a civilization that believes violence can be safely cordoned off behind closed doors; the entropy of unchecked pain inevitably engulfs the entire social fabric.
Ultimately, Jan calls for the dissolution of divisive linguistic boundaries, urging us to replace restrictive labels with the unified truth of Jan. Distributed freely to honor its ethical commitments, this manifesto invites an awakening of empathy so deep that no living being is ever harmed for personal pleasure or intellectual gain.
