The Platform for Janism, Critique of Power, and Free Access to Nima Shahsavari’s Works
In this wretched existence amidst the human-making factory and this cellar of humanity, my imagination found comfort in memories of tranquility and non-work, where I might reshape the world through writing once more. Do you know, my white-haired, moon-faced companion? As the price of living amidst human civilization, I must labor—and labor hard—so that I may one day rest in ease alongside my Living Presence (Jan). Yet this time, my joy depends upon your visage, amidst the harsh autumn rain.
Every night, I see your face in my dreams. Has joy been granted to you? Have they ever opened a space for your happiness? No. I know these self-absorbed, wretched humans consider you beneath joy, believing all consciousness belongs exclusively to their own kind. Yet, I have witnessed joy amidst the eyelashes of your animal cousins—and alas, these humans paint pictures for a bloody festival of death, transforming your happiness into a sacrifice to feed their maws.
Do you know that we all share a single ancestor? Did their insane intellect drive them mad? I know not. I only know that the joy following five weeks of labor is now tainted with a sorrow that whispered the arrival of a feast smelling of blood. Have I, in the filthy cloak of humanity, gazed upon my own joy? No! May I be sacrificed for your innocent eyes that know nothing of our world. You know not that these humans have taken even themselves into captivity. For thousands of years, they bought each other into slavery, devoured one another’s children, and today, given any opportunity, they will devour again.
Intoxicated by their own power, they will drag themselves into the dust. They will sever the head of their own child to satisfy the trembling lips of a god who promised them a crown—a god sustained solely by supremacy and quenched by blood. And today, that god is humanity itself!
Yes, this blood-stained feast of the mad is led by those who claim to seek god. Day by day, the gods of humanity drag hordes of your Living Presences beneath the blade. They say: “Kill without suffering, for we hold a holy feast.” Yet I know they have slaughtered and devoured your kind hundreds of times more than any tyrant’s army. Come, ye madmen, come and devour the entire world! In their delusion that all things exist to be consumed, they devoured you, they devoured god, and ultimately they shall devour themselves, for blood rests upon the walls of their becoming.
Sworn by the sanctuary of the beautiful Living Presence of all my non-human kin, my species, my family: I shall write again, I shall chant again, and armed with the bullet of transformation, I shall uproot the foundation of ‘humanity’ to draw forth Life from its decaying shell—for we are all equal and identical. Alongside all sheep at the altar and gentle cattle whose singular Life is denied, I shall call upon Living Presence once more, until the day it becomes the sole measure of value in our universe.
This prose lament is not a fleeting emotional dirge; it rests upon objective evidence and a genealogy of a civilization that has slaughtered the authenticity of life before superstitious rituals. To transition from intuitive witnessing to cold analytical critique, we must dissect the occult psychological layers, power structures, political economy of blood, and the philosophy of refusal. We must expose how instrumental reason transformed humanity into a selfish lunatic amidst its peaceful non-human kin.
The production of violence in human societies is the product of an ancient engineering within the collective unconscious. What we recognize as “sacrificial rituals” is, in reality, a mutated form of a human survival contract based upon the destruction of the Other. Primitive man, observing nature’s cruelty and seeking to soothe existential anxiety, manufactured gods who demanded blood to be appeased. This was the project of “projecting predation”—meaning that predatory man attributed his own cruelty to the heavens so he could slaughter on earth with a clear conscience.
To understand this phenomenon, one must examine the concept of “deprivation of life as an identity-building tool.” Humans define their identity through control over the fate of other beings. The more absolute this control (even determining the moment of death), the deeper their false sense of authority becomes—a cover for their inner vulnerability before mortality. The continuation of these rituals signifies the persistence of an instrumental view of Life (Jan) that ultimately leads to the suppression of political freedom and the elimination of dissent.
In social psychology, “structural numbness” is one of the most complex mechanisms of the human mind adapting to violent environments. When a child grows up in an environment where the death of other living beings is celebrated, the brain is forced to activate mechanisms of “denial” and “emotional detachment” to prevent psychological collapse. This process gradually atrophies instinctual compassion—the very foundation of moral bonds.
The result is a society that remains entirely indifferent to torture, oppression, and political tyranny. One who learns that the pleading eyes of a living presence on the verge of sacrifice are a subject for laughter will inevitably remain passive before political autocracy; for the boundary between “the pain of the Other” and “personal pleasure” has collapsed within their unconscious.
Many assume that by removing visible blood from public streets, humanity has attained superior ethics. This is the greatest deception of modern history. Industrial capitalism transformed violence into an assembly line to numb the consumer’s conscience with “sterile packaging.” Here, the deprivation of life is not a ritual, but a calculated metric.
In traditional butchery, raw blood jolts the sleeping human conscience; but in the modern meat industry, sterile plastic packaging enables the removal of life without emotional engagement. Capitalism teaches us to continue slaughtering without hearing the screams, turning a suffering Living Presence into a cold, lifeless commodity.
This structural hypocrisy is more dangerous than traditional dogma, for it eliminates individual responsibility entirely. The consumer is neither the killer nor the witness; they are merely a “consumer of death” fueling this modern machine of slaughter with every purchase.
True freedom begins when we recognize the Other not as an instrument for utility, but as an end in itself. This epistemological shift from human supremacy to the ontological equality of all Living Presences (Jan) is the only path capable of disarming our internal dictator. Tyranny begins precisely where a human decides to erect a wall between “their own blood” and “the blood of the Other.”
To dismantle these bloody barricades, we must return to foundational empathy—an empathy wherein the dismemberment of a sheep’s body is as agonizing to us as the suppression of a street protester. Both stem from the same “theology of predation” where the right to strip life is granted to power holders. Our struggle is the struggle for the liberation of all Living Presences; for as long as one body remains in chains, the freedom of none can be genuine.

Nima Shahsavari began writing at the age of 15. At 32, he made all of his works publicly and freely accessible—spanning over 50 volumes of books, research works, prose, poetry, and essays. Grounded in Janism (the philosophy of reverence for all living beings, non-harm, and the critique of power structures), this open-access digital library invites you to explore a deeper discourse on life, freedom, and equality.
